Buffalo Soccer Club Assists After School

Buffalo Soccer Club is proud to continue its relationships with Pinnacle Charter School and Buffalo's PS 18. BSC provides programming and coaching for approximately 80 kids through these after school programs. Buffalo Soccer Club is always trying to find new ways of reaching young people and engaging them in soccer and after school programs are a great place for kids to begin to see the program.

BSC relationship with PS 18 began in 2009. Buffalo Public School 18 runs a 21st Century After School Program and invited Buffalo Soccer Club to participate.  Starting in October of 2009 BSC sent its coaching staff to run weekly soccer sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The program will continue again in the 2010-2011 school year, with more students able to benefit.

In 2009, BSC also began a small soccer program with Pinnacle Charter School. At that time, we worked with the school once a week spending time with 15 2nd-4th grade students. BSC has expanded this program for 2010 and is now at Pinnacle Charter school twice a week working with K-4th grade students.

If you are interested in finding out more about this program please let us know.  We are looking for eager adults to be trained as soccer coaches so that we can assist in more schools.  Coaches may be paid for each session they run in the program.  We are also looking for schools who are interested in learning more about our programming opportunities. If you would like more information please contact Anna-Lesa Calvert.
